BRUNDIBAR & The Making of Brundibar

IMG_0865Brundibar was a children's opera performed many times in Theresienstadt (Terezin), a Nazi prison town for Jews in Czechoslovakia during World War II. This recording is the first time it was performed in Sydney, initiated and conducted by musicologist Dr Joseph Toltz. The Making of Brundibar is an accompanying short documentary that shows the process of the production with  as they learn their parts and prepare for this touching,  poignant production. A special fetaure of the process was the interaction with Holocaust survivors of Theresienstadt.
